Look at what lasts

Contentment · 2 Corinthians 4:16–18; read 2 Corinthians 4:7–18 for context

Read and reflect

Read the Scripture passages listed above in your Bible, including the surrounding verses for context. Then take a moment with these thoughts.

Day 25 places present troubles alongside the hope of eternal glory. Paul does not dismiss suffering as imaginary. Serena asks us to consider where our energy is going: some concerns will pass, while faith, character, love, and obedience have lasting significance. That perspective can help us endure without losing hope.

A question to sit with

Which concern feels permanent today? How does eternity change your perspective? What kind of woman are you becoming in this season?

A step for today

When frustration rises, pause to consider what has lasting significance and what response would reflect it. Write down one choice you can make with that perspective.

Take this with you

I will give lasting things their proper weight.

From the devotional’s “Take this with you” section. This is Serena’s reflection, not a Bible quotation.

Keep growing with care

These reflections offer spiritual encouragement. They do not replace individualized medical, mental health, legal, or pastoral care. Wise boundaries and appropriate support matter.
